Event Overview

The race is the part of the South League.

• The South League for 2025 will be a 8 event rounds.
• All riders from any club or team registered in the South Region will be eligible to score points.
• A rider’s best results from five races will count towards their total points.
• The leader’s jersey will be awarded during the rider briefing ahead of every round.
• Final awards with trophies will be after the last round:
1. South League Champion
2. Club’s award
3. 3rd Cat award
4. 4th Cat award

John Holman was a long standing member of Gillingham Wheelers and marshalled at events all over the South region and beyond. He sadly passed away in Jan 2017, and this race is in tribute to him.

This is the 9th year of this event and on this exciting 12.5 mile circuit

About the Event

Info for Riders

Course Details:

The race will be neutralised from the HQ at Shaftesbury Cricket Club along Coles Lane and Cherry Orchard until the A30.  The race proceeds along the A30 to East Stour, turning left to Stour Provost and Todber towards Manston.  At the junction with the B3091 the race turns sharp left and then goes up over kit hill and past Guys Marsh prison and completes one lap turning left onto Coles Lane. At the end of the race the riders will continue past Coles Lane for approx 0.3 mile to finish opposite the lane leading to the HQ
