Round 1 of the 2025 Schwalbe British 4X Series will take place at Chicksands in Bedfordshire on Saturday 12th April.

This iconic track will once again start the series with round 1 on Saturday and round 2 on Sunday.

Info for Riders

Entry Information:

Round 1 of the series is Saturday and Round 2 is on Sunday

 

Saturday 12th April:

Practice: 10.00am to 12.30am

Racing commences at 13:15 starting with 3 Motos.

A small lunch break after motos followed by quarter finals, semi finals and finals.

Podiums 4.45pm

 

On the day Rider Registration is open: Saturday April 12th 08:30 to 10:00

 

Non Licence Categories:

  • Rippers 7-9 Riders must be in the year of their 7th, 8th or 9th birthday.
  • Rippers 10-12 Riders must be in the year of their 10th, 11th or 12th birthday. 
  • Fun 13 to 16 Riders must be in the year of their 13th or 16th birthdays.
  • Big Fun - Riders must be in there 17th year or older.

 

Licenced Categories - BC Licence required to race in these categories:

  • Juvenile Open - Riders in the year of their 13th or 14th birthday.
  • Youth Open - Riders in the year of their 15th or 16th birthdays.
  • Junior Open - Riders in the year of their 17th or 18th birthdays.
  • Senior Open - Riders in the year of their 19th birthday.
  • Master Open - Riders in the year of their 30th - 39th birthday. 
  • Veteran Open - Riders in the year of their 40th - 49th birthday.
  • Grand Veteran Open - Riders in the year of their 50th birthday and above.

 

  • 13-16 Women - Riders in the year of their 13th, 14th, 15th or 16th birthday.
  • 17-29 Women - Riders in the year of their 17th - 29th birthday.
  • 30+ Women - Riders in the year of their 30th birthday

 

Race Regulations:

The event will run under BC and UCI Regulations. Please make sure you aware of the rules. A course inspection will performed before the start of practice with the Chief BC Commissaire and any recommendations will be implemented.

The course will be covered by marshals. They will have red and yellow flags, radio communications and be briefed each morning.


British 4X rules incorporate those laid out in the current BC handbook. 

 

We recommend that all riders wear the following body armour: Full Face helmet, gloves, Full Spine protector, Elbow pads and Knee pads. 

 

There will be a rider briefing at 11.50 before racing.
