Event Overview

The long established annual early season Reliability Trials of VELO CLUB LONG EATON .

This year, two new routes exploring the varied terrain of North West Leicestershire.

80km / 50 mile and 105km / 65 mile.

Register 8:30am onwards Plank and Leggitt, Sawley, NG10 3RD. £5 entry fee.  Pay on the day. 

ALL cyclists welcome. Proceeds will go to support various charities.

80km Sawley-Castle Donington-Melbourne-Ticknall- Pistern Hill-Smisby-Moira-Willesley-Heather-Ravenstone-Swannington-Belton-Diseworth-Long Whatton-Kegworth-Sawley.

105km Sawley-Castle Donington-Melbourne-Ticknall- Pistern Hill -Smisby-Moira-Willesley-Heather-Ravenstone-Swannington-Whitwick- Bardon Hill -Copt Oak-Woodhouse Eaves- Beacon Hill -Belton-Diseworth-Long Whatton-Kegworth-Sawley.

About the Event

Info for Riders

These rides are a test of self reliance, fitness and navigational ability. It is for the rider to ensure their bicycle is road worthy, that they can deal with road side issues and are able to follow a predesignated route.

If possible please register an interest in taking part prior to the event. Choose a distance and start time via the club website www.vclongeaton.com. However entry on the line will be accepted.

GPS route available via the website. Route sheet, if required, available on the day.

£5 entry fee. Pay on the day (card preferred). Parental consent forms, if applicable, to be filled in on the day.

Parking available. Toilets. Refreshments. Please support the pub by buying food/drinks.

Registration at the Plank and Leggitt is from 8:30am. 65 mile start 9am onwards. 50 mile start from 9:30am.

Control closes 3:30pm.

There is no on road assistance available.

Finally, if your not a member, consider joining the club!  3 club rides a week, an established Time Trial/Racing calender, Cyclo Cross events and an existing membership with in depth cycling knowledge.
