Event Overview

Torvelo Racing is proud to be hosting the first edition of the Mennock Pass Stage Race. The race will be run at National B level.

The race format will consist of a prologue time trial event on Saturday morning, followed by a rolling road race on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday the race moves location for the final queen stage, where riders will race a brand new circuit through Leadhills, with the race finale taking place on a summit finish of the infamous Mennock Pass at Wanlockhead, the highest village in Scotland.

The race forms part of the Alba national road race series. Overall race result will contribute to series standing.

Prizes will be awarded for individual stage and overall results, as well as intermediate prizes for sprint, KOM and team results (minimum 4 riders per team).

EARLY BIRD ENTRY: Discounted entry of £65.00 is available until 11th May, at which point the entry price will increase to £80.

Race HQ for Saturday 14th June 2025: St Bride’s Centre, Braehead Douglas ML11 0PT

Race HQ for Sunday 15th June 2025: Wanlockhead Community Centre, Biggar ML12 6UT

 

Course details

TT prologue (road bike only) Saturday AM: PROLOGUE ROUTE

Stage 1 Saturday PM: STAGE 1 ROUTE 

Stage 2 Sunday: STAGE 2 ROUTE

 

The race will also include the following competitions with cash prizes available for each:

Stage 1 - intermediate sprint sponsored by Acumen Cyber

Stage 2 - KOM sponsored by Dallas McMillan 

Team general classification (minimum 4 riders)

 

The event is anticipated to be over-subscribed, so entries will be prioritised to ensure clubs and teams are given at least 4 places to be eligible for the team prize. Riders who wish to form composite teams with riders from other clubs and teams may do so and should notify the event organiser of their team composition prior to entries closing. 

 

Team cars are permitted in the race convoy. Drivers must be aged 21 or over, be a current British Cycling member, and be the named and normally insured driver of the vehicle. Drivers should provide the event organiser with the following information prior to entries closing: Full name, date of birth, BC membership number, and vehicle make, model and registration.
