Event Summary

Event Overview

Those who hold a BC membership and full racing licence should enter the BC Champs category in your respective age group. 

The stages range from Open moorland above the finish area to Dyfi Forest with has a great selection of technical tracks.

 

The Seeding Stage (S1) on Saturday afternoon & would also be the last on Sunday finishes into the finish area with Commentator and big screen to show the live results to the riders and spectators.

The venue is off the main street and will lots of parking it’s an ideal venue for spectators.  

 

The Course:

  • Terrain: 90% forest and 10% open moorland with a high elevation ridge line.
  • Loop: 25kms with 1290m of climbing and an expected total time for the fastest riders to be around 10 minutes plus from the 6 stages.
  • Stages:
    1x Stage Saturday afternoon for Seeding is repeated as Stage 6, the last stage on Sunday.
  • 5x Stages on Sunday

 

Timing:

Timing is provided by Action Sport Timing.

This will be transponder timing live from each stage you can follow along live online on www.actionsportstiming.co.uk.

The accuracy is Accuracy: 0.004s with a Max. speed: 120 km/h

There will be large Video Screen to display live times as riders cross the finish line next to the finish line.

 

Finish Arena

  • Expo & Trade stands set up around the arena.

  • Spectator Viewing: Four designated spectator viewing areas in the finish arena, including spots by the rock drop and other natural features. A forest road provides access for a long walk up to the open moorland to view riders across the ridge line.

  • Race day competitor-only car parking.
  • Separate Camping and spectator car parking.

  • Family Camping.

The timing is by Active Transponders, this must be attached to the front fork leg of the bike opposite side to the disk brake. any transponders that are not returned at the end of the race will be charged at £100 this includes any lost, stolen or damaged transponders.
