You MUST continue to enter via BC entry system to register to ride this event.

All riders must have a transponder for this event. Please ensure you have activated the transponder via the MyLaps website before the race.

Info for Riders

Round 1 of the 2025 South West BMX Regional Series at Exeter Eagles BMX Racing Club.

• Expert riders need to complete 7 out of 10 events to qualify for a Regional Expert Trophy and Ranking. All riders who complete 7 rounds will receive a trophy regardless of their final position.
• Pre Registration closes at 23:55 on the Wednesday before the event
• Refunds will only be offered to riders who notify the event administration team before midnight on Saturday before the race - no transfers to other rounds are available
• Expert riders may ride on a green background regional plate, national, euro or world plate as stated on on the SWBMXA website.  New riders will be allocated their number by race day staff.
• Side plates must be fitted to the bike
• Race plates and side plates must comply to BC rules
• Registration is available on the day.

Race fees:

• Expert 16 & Under - £15.50 prereg / £23.50 on the day
• Expert 17 & Over - £17.50 prereg / £25.50 on the day
• Elite - £20.00 prereg / £28 on the day
• Novice - £15 prereg / £16 on the day
• Novice riders and under 13s will not be allowed to ride clips.
• Novice class will now get a end of season standing and trophy.
• Novice riders will not receive a trophy/medal at each round.

2025 South West Championships:

• Riders whose primary club is within the South West automatically qualify for the South West Championships
• Riders whose primary club is based outside of the region, may participate in the South West Champs, however, they MUST race in the age category that they competed in their own regional series (or an equivalent race category).
• Out of region riders will not be eligible to receive an SW1 plate/ranking.
• Any rider who has ‘ridden up’ in the season MUST continue to ride in that race category for the South West Championships.
• There will be no novice racing at the South West Championships.

2025 British Championships:

• To qualify for the 2025 British Championships all expert category riders must compete in 5 regional events in their main class (20” or Cruiser) within the same BMX region and 3 regional events in their second class (20” or Cruiser).
• Novice riders are not eligible to ride at the British Championships unless they have moved to expert class mid season and completed the requirements as stated above.
