321 Racing- Down'duro Double Jeopardy

MTB DH , Truro – Sunday, 23 Mar 2025

Event Summary

Event Overview

Welcome to 321 Racing at Bike Park Kernow.

What is 321 racing?

  • It's a low cost, low stakes racing format. It's a fun way of racing, cheering (heckling) is compulsory
  • The tracks are aimed at entry level and experienced racers alike
  • It is a short DH style track.
  • There are no categories, everyone is racing everyone.
  • Timing is done by means of stop watch and you are counted in (Hence 321 racing) If you are late off the line, the clock will be ticking regardless...
  • If you have always wanted to try racing, but were worried about the pressure of racing, then this is the race for you.

This is racing with a twist, here's how it differs from normal racing:

This round of 321 is a 'Down'duro' Double Jeopardy race, here is how it will work:

  • All riders will do a track walk and 1 hour practise session on 2 short DH tracks.
  • After Practise, riders will then complete a timed run on the first DH track.
  • There will then be another timed run for all riders on the second DH track.
  • After both runs, riders will then have a choice. They can choose to keep their times from run 1 and 2, or they can choose to re run one of the tracks. But your rerun time will count, regardless of if you go slower or faster!
  • There will be podium places for the fastest 3 times of the day.

Tickets are strictly limited to 60 places and must be purchased in advance through British Cycling.

This event is for riders of all ages!
