This is a Regional A race event, we use national and regional A level tracks that are uplifted via our dedicated uplift trailers and are included in your entry fee. Our events are governed by British Cycling regulations, these are available online or you may look through our website at our guide to racing downhill.

The track will be closed from Friday morning. It will be available for a riders track walk after 4.00PM, 

Saturday:  Sign on opens at 8.15am till 1pm. Uplift opens at 9.30am The track should go live for practise at 9.45am approx.  Practise will be all day with the last 2 hours full runs only.  Track closes approx. 4.30PM and the last uplift will leave the bottom loading atapprox 4.00 PM. 

Sunday: Sign on opens at 8.15am closes at 9.15am  The track should be live at approx. 9.30am Full runs from 10.30 till 11.30, Practise finishes at 11.30, approx. 20/25 mins for lunch

First race runs from 11.50am   Second race runs from 1.50pm Podiums 40 min after final race run at the Finish arena.

Sign on,will be at our large gazebo along with race info. 

Race fee’s ; these remain the same as last year at £85 plus BC booking feefor Juvenile/youth and youth female catergories, all other catergories are £90plus BC booking fee,  this is the online booking fee and shuts on Wednesday at 7PM of the week before racing. You may pay on the day for your racing at £15 extra to the online race fee at sign on. 

Race fees have been maitained at 2024 prices even though we have had some of our incured costs go up as much as 50% Racing is getting squeezed from all areas and needs your support to keep it alive if you want to keep regional racing alive for years to come get signed on and get your mates to book on aswell! 

Timing, We are using traditional TAG HEUER protocol timing system with Cloud back up system. as used in UCI DH world cups and FIA racing  Results will be displayed at the finish line via a large  tv display. 

Camping/ parking, There is limited amount of Pro pit space at the finish line please book on via our website . this is Free for 2025

Please be careful if your using BBq’s , there is to be no fire directly on the ground although a firepit is acceptable, please have a means to be able to extinguish any fire and make sure it is  extinguished at the end of the evening. Do not throw hot embers into a skip 

Toilets. There is a toilet provide at the  carpark 

Skip.  We are a Trash for Trails Silver member , we encourage you to recycle and take home what you can to help the planet and make Racing Greener. We will provide a miniskip, this is not for the disposal of tyres/gazebo's or tents etc. if found we will invoice for the use and disposal of such items.

Noise and etiquete.  No generators or music after 10pm . We do have families with young children please be considerate.

Catering, this is in finish arena 

Medics, their base will be situated in entrance to the venue , should you require attention please make your way to them or if unable , contact a member of the team or a Marshall who will radio for help.

Security, Please be vigilant when leaving your belongings or your race bike around , We are not responsiable for any belongings left unattended on site.

Force Majeure, Whilst every effort is made to bring you a quality event  if directly or indirectly we are unable to fulfil our obligations in any way by either an act of God, strike , breakdown, trade dispute, strike, any Governmental or Political act, act of war or terrorism, acts of omissions a third party or for any other reason  whatsoever beyond Gravity Events Up control then we shall not be held responsible or liable in anyway for any compensation, refund, re-imbursement or costs, transport or hotel  in any matter .

It is your responsibility to ensure that the Event is still proceeding before travelling .

Should an event be cancelled we are unable to refund or part refund or provide a transfer of place to another event.

We will however provide any updates on our Facebook page .

E-BIKES are now allowed in our Ebike/open catergory  this is non point ranking and not eligiable for Welsh Championship status.  You are not allowed to cycle up and must use the uplift. 

Info for Riders

The Championships are an open event so that non Welsh eligible riders can enter...

However, riders must meet at least one of the eligibility criteria listed below in order to be eligible for the Welsh Championship title and medals. 

Have been born in Wales or have a parental principal place of domicile in Wales OR 

Be the son or daughter of a person born in Wales or whose parents' principal place of domicile was in Wales OR

Have resided in Wales for 3 years consecutively prior to the date of the Championship.
