About the Event

Info for Riders

The Moor 2 Sea is a new and exciting Cyclosportive for 2012. The event takes place on Saturday 8th September 2012 and offers you a choice of two routes, both starting and finishing at Exeter Racecourse. The 'Challenge' route covers 67 miles (108 km) and has approximately 7,000 ft of climb. The 'Extreme' route covers 112 miles (180 km) and has a massive 12000 ft of climbing which includes gradients up to 25%. Both routes will take you through the beautiful Haldon Forest, across the breath taking open roads of Dartmoor National Park, through the winding Devon country lanes and stunning coastal roads. The Routes finish with a 'King of the Mountains' stye timed hill climb stage at Mamhead followed by a two mile closed circuit finish around Exeter Racecourse. Medals will be awarded to all riders who complete their chosen route within the qualifying times for their age category. Riders completing the KoM stage inside the qualifying time will also receive a prestigious KoM Medal Pin. See website for more inf
