The Wakefield Hospice Sportive: The Dark Peak

Join us on our first ever hospice sportive - A 72 mile road cycling challenge ride taking in the highlights of the 2014 Tour De France Route.
We will also be offering a shorter 40 – 45 mile route.   The route will start in Wakefield and cover the Dark Peak area of the Peak District the basic route outline:

  •   Holmfirth
  •   Holme Moss
  •   Glossop
  •   Snake Pass
  •   Strines
  •   Penistone
  •   Wakefield

We will provide you with timing and on route with support vehicles and food stations.   Entrance is just £25 and we ask you to raise as much sponsorship as you can for Wakefield Hospice.   For more information please contact Danielle.cain@wakefield.hospice.co.uk 01924 213900

Our brand new event is an exciting range of routes taking in the West and South Yorkshire highlights of next years Yorkshire Tour de France. Starting in easy to reach Wakefield the route will head out to Huddersfield, riders will climb Holme Moss followed by Snake Pass and returning via The Strines. This is a challenging 72 miles. The 45 mile route includes the Holme Moss Climb.
