Following the announcement of the men’s team earlier this week, British Cycling have today announced the team of women’s senior academy endurance riders who will represent Great Britain in the women’s race.
Manon Lloyd and Emily Nelson, who were recently crowned as European under-23 team pursuit champions, will ride for the team, as will fellow academy riders Megan Barker, Abbie Dentus, Hayley Jones and Annasley Park.
British Cycling’s women’s academy endurance coach Chris Newton said: “I’m happy with the way the squad has progressed this year, they’ve trained hard and I’ve been pleased with the results they’ve been getting on both the road and the track.
“Prudential RideLondon is an established race on the calendar now and always attracts great crowds. I think the calibre of the competition and the atmosphere at the race will be great experience for the team and is an important part of their development.”
