British Cycling has named the eight riders who will compete for the Great Britain Cycling Team in the Tour de Yorkshire from 28-30 April.
Following his victory at the prestigious Gent-Wevelgem under-23 race in March, Jacob Hennessy will be back in action along with fellow Senior Academy riders Adam Hartley, Matt Bostock and Ethan Hayter.
They will be joined by former Senior Academy riders Mark McNally, Joey Walker and Chris Lawless along with James Knox in the three-day stage race starting in Bridlington on 28 April and finishing in Sheffield.
Senior Academy men’s endurance coach Keith Lambert, said: “This is the third year we have competed in the Tour de Yorkshire and the race always provides fantastic development opportunities for the riders, especially those on the Senior Academy programme.
“They race against some of the world’s best bike riders which presents an invaluable learning opportunity and the encouragement from an enthusiastic home crowd is always a great experience for the team.”
