The highlight of the Beijing World Cup for GB was Sam Harrison's Gold medal in the Men's Omnium. He'spictured here flanked here by two of the world's best riders in the event, Zac Bell and Roger Kluge. The Men's Team Pursuit was another highlight with a Bronze medal and a cracking time of 4.05 in the final.
The third round of the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Cup took riders to the 2008 Olympic velodrome where a young British team was chasing Olympic Qualification points. The GB Team for the event was built around riders from the Olympic Academy squad. With the senior "Podium" riders having done a great job in the opening rounds in Melbourne and Cali, the Beijing World Cup was identified as an excellent opportunity for GB’s younger riders to gain valuable experience competing against the World's best.
