As the main point of contact for your Go-Ride Club, one of your key tasks is to know the opportunities at the club inside and out so that you can respond to any enquiries.
It’s also likely that you’ll be in regular contact with British Cycling as the point of contact with the club.
What does the role of a Go-Ride Club contact involve?
Some of the things you might be involved in as Go-Ride contact include:
Clubmark:
Clubs should work towards achieving Clubmark status within one year of registering with the HSBC UK Go-Ride programme. Clubmark recognises that your club observes best practice in child protection, coaching and competition, equity and club management.
Read all about how your club can achieve Clubmark status.
For more information about working towards becoming a Go-Ride Clubmark Club, contact your regional development manager or the Go-Ride HQ team on 0161 274 2070 or go-ride@britishcycling.org.uk.
Club Management Tool:
The free Club Management Tool (CMT) has been built specifically for cycling clubs and has been designed to make it easier for you to run your club. Club secretaries have automatic access to the CMT through their dashboard on the British Cycling website and they can delegate access to the various features of the tool, which will benefit you in your role as a Go-Ride Club contact – just ask your club secretary to get you started.
Watch the video here to find out what the tool can do for you and your club.
