Scott Beaumont and Cara Murray continued their stranglehold on the British Cycling MTB Four Cross Series with convincing wins at Redhill in Gloucestershire.
Murray finished ahead of Liz Fowler and Heather Kay in the elite women’s final while Beaumont cruised to victory in the men’s event having made comfortable progress to the final.
Leon Rosser took second behind Beaumont with Duncan Ferris third after a crash behind Beaumont took out Rosser, Ferris and Lewis Lacey.
Rain briefly appeared on Sunday but soon passed leaving the track in perfect condition for racing.
In the rippers class, Tyla Rosser won ahead of Ryhs Mahon and Callum Greenwood.
Harry Fernihough was victorious in the juveniles, while Stuart Burrows worked hard for the win in youth.
Reece Richards came out on top in the juniors race ahead of Connor Hudson and JJ Scott. French rider Charry Givennet was fastest in the seniors race. In the masters competition, Stephen Russell clawed his way to victory ahead of Nick Hill and Chris Smith.
Ben Rafferty once again used the track to his advantage on his way to the win in the veterans race.
The series continues on Sunday 20 July 2014 in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
