Entries are now open for the 2012 British Cycling National MTB Cross Country Series Entry is online only, via the British Cycling website Click on the links below to go to the calendar page of the appropriate events. You need to be logged in to your account in order to enter. If you do not have a log-in, or have forgotten your password you will be prompted to register or receive a new password. There is a 60p admin charge per race, which is added to your basket on final payment. You can enter other family or team members as part of the same transaction: you'll have to type in their details, but once you've done it once their details will be stored and you can then enter them for another race with a single click. Closing dates The closing date for each round is midnight on the Monday preceding the event, provided the category hasn’t sold out. There are no entries on the day, apart from for Under-12s. NB: All entrants to series races must be full British Cycling licence holders endorsed with the appropriate age or ability category - a provisional licence is not valid for these races. Elite category races are also open to holders of a valid UCI licence issued by another country. You don’t have to have renewed your licence to enter in advance but it must be in place by the day of the event. Open and Fun category races are open to non-British Cycling members. National Series Points Scoring The first 40 finishers in each category will receive series points as follows: 60, 56, 52, 49, 46, 43, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32, 30, 28, then reducing by one point per place to 40th place. The best four scores will count towards the overall points result. UCI World Ranking Points Rounds 1 & 2: The first 15 finishers in the elite men’s and elite women’s races will receive points as follows: 60, 40, 30, 25, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1. Rounds 3, 4 & 5: The first 10 finishers in the elite men’s and elite women’s races will receive points as follows: 30, 20, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1. |
