This Sunday sees the final event of the inaugural Cumbria Cross-Country Series. The event promoted by Beacon Wheelers takes place at another new venue for cycle racing, Greystoke nr Penrith just off the M6 junction 40.
The course is a mixture of single-track, forest paths and forest roads which can be ridden on any mountain bikes or a cyclo-cross bike. Signing on is from 9.30am at Greystoke Forest grid reference - NY405345.
After winning the first three events promoting club riders Matti Egglestone and Mark Donavan will once again be looking to continue there domination of the under 12 and under 16 events.
Once again there will be a separate women only event starting a minute after the senior men.
