This is the latest from the organisers of the Mini Downhill 3 Race Series:
The original and still the best rookie DH series returns to Innerleithen for another year. Kids shape the future of mountainbike racing, so the series is built around what and how they want to ride. It’s cheap, it’s accessible, it’s over in a day and you can do it on any bike you want.
With proper courses that everyone can ride, there won’t be any hard-pack trail centre stuff and there will be rooty stuff and proper descents. No set start times, riders push up to the top of the course and have as many runs as they want. All runs are timed after 12.00 and the best one counts. Riders are split into age group categories with a series prize awarded at the final event.
Local self catering accommodation provider The Stanes in Innerleithen have come on board and offered a prize of two nights stay to be awarded at each race. Fantastic !

About Innerleithen MTB Racing
We are an Innerleithen based race team and event promoter with supported riders in many cycling disciplines. Our main supporter is i-Cycles bike shop www.i-cycles.co.uk . We are a ‘not for profit’ volunteer organisation with the aim to stage fun, friendly and challenging events for all disciplines of mountain biking. Over the last four years we have organised the British Cross-Country (XC) Championships, numerous XC and Multi-Stage Enduro races, a Mini DH race series for under 18s, the Alpine Bikes Winter series in 2012 and the very successful iXS European Downhill Cup in 2010 and 2012.
