With the first race of 2014 taking place on 6 April in Cheshire, the British Cycling 4X Series team has announced that Schwalbe will be continuing its title sponsorship for a fourth successive year.
The series continues to attract top riders from around the UK and Europe as well as beginners and novice riders who are giving 4X a go. Fantastic racing and a fun atmosphere ensures that both riders and spectators have a great day at the races.
The series will be run over seven rounds in 2014 and with increased rider numbers in 2013, Chris Roberts, series organiser, is pleased with the progress 4X has made in the UK over the past few years:
‘4X here in the UK is growing year-on-year. The atmosphere at every round is fantastic and we can’t wait to see more new faces in 2014. Schwalbe have been a fantastic partner for 4X and we look forward to many more years working with them.’
Dave Taylor, the marketing manager for Schwalbe UK, is a huge fan of 4X racing:
‘The British Cycling 4X Series has been fantastic for Schwalbe over the past four years and we are more than happy to be the title sponsor of the series again in 2014. We have the established, specific 4X tyres which use ‘Gatestar’ compound that continue to be the benchmark in 4X racing.
"4X racing is the most action packed mountain biking you could ever hope to witness. We love it and can’t wait for the 2014 season to start."
