The Barnsley Town Centre Races takes place tomorrow evening, featuring the fifth and penultimate round of the men’s and the final round of the women’s HSBC UK | National Circuit Series.
Winner of the 2018 HSBC UK | National Road Championships Connor Swift (Arkea-Samsic) will be making his first appearance in this year’s series, while George Wood (SwiftCarbon Pro Cycling) and Chris Latham (Vitus Pro Cycling p/b Brother UK) will both be looking to propel themselves into the top three of the overall standings.
There’s still all to play for in the women’s standings, with Elizabeth Bennett (Campinense - Velo Performance) in pole position after podium finishes in rounds 1 and 2 in Bristol and Otley.
Jo Tindley (Campinense - Velo Performance) and round 1 winner Sophie Lankford (Team Jadan Weldtite-Vive le Velo) will both be looking to overhaul Bennett into first place. HSBC UK | National Road Series leader Rebecca Durrell (Brother UK - Tifosi p/b OnForm) will also be on the start line, and finds herself just four points off the podium places in the overall circuit series standings.
This HSBC UK | National Circuit Championships take place in Rochester, Kent on Sunday, ahead of the final round of the national series in Sheffield on July 24.
