To help young riders develop for the 2020 season, Welsh Cycling Pathway Development Coach Anthony O’Boyle tells us more about Welsh Cycling’s ‘club cluster‘ sessions that are supporting young riders over the winter months.
We are keen to continue supporting the development of young riders with regular coaching sessions taking place in North, South and West Wales.
Anthony explained “The coaching sessions are delivered in partnership with our local clubs with a focus on maintaining and improving the fitness of Youth and Junior riders. Participants should already be attending regular coaching sessions with their club, and also racing at local level. The winter sessions will help keep the participants focussed and help prepare for the season ahead”.
The sessions are taking place at traffic free venues across Wales and are focused on the discipline of road cycling. Riders can book onto a monthly series of sessions by clicking the link below.
North Wales – Marsh Tracks, Rhyl
South Wales – Aberdare Park, Aberdare
West Wales – Pembrey Country Park, Pembrey
Riders wishing to take part will need a road bike and front light as sessions will be taking place in the evening, For more info on what is involved or if you are a coach who would be willing to help at the sessions please contact anthony.oboyle@welshcycling.co.uk
