In late 2020, Welsh Cycling recruited volunteers to sit on a new group, the Women in Coaching Workgroup. Across cycling in Wales, women are heavily underrepresented at Level 2 and even more so progressing into the discipline specific units (DSU’s). The workgroup has created a Women in Coaching Survey which can be viewed here.
This survey looks at several key areas to help us understand the coaching landscape including:
- Participants past coaching experience
- What are the barriers to women getting involved and progressing in coaching
- What we can do to increase confidence of women in coaching
Once the survey is closed and the workgroup has analysed the results, we will publish them and the actions that we are undertaking. To learn more please get in touch with project lead Alistair.
