Where to Ride: Stratford-upon-Avon

Warwickshire County Council has a number of routes starting from the Stratford Greenway with a mixture of traffic free cycle paths and quiet country lanes.

Stratford - Welford - 12 miles

The start of the route is 5 miles along the Stratford Greenway cycle path to Long Marston. The route then follows quiet lanes through the village of Dorsington and on to Welford. It then heads back to the Greenway via Weston.

Stratford - Ilmington 24miles (additional loop up to Hidcote 27miles)

This route starts in the same way as the above but at the end of the Greenway heads out to Lower Quinton then Illmington. It returns via the Stour Villages of Armscote, Wimpstone and Preston on Stour.

Stratford - Redditch

27mile route again starting at the Stratford Greenway then following NCN5 to Redditch. It heads up the canal to Wilmcote then continues up to Redditch and Studley, returning via Walcote.

Cycle Hire

There is a cycle hire centre and cafe at the Stratford Greenway, based in two refurbished railway carriages (pictured) containing the cycle hire in one and a cafe in the other. www.stratfordbikehire.com
