Become a Qualified Ride Leader or Route Planner
Ride Leaders
Are you a cycling champion? Would you like to get a BC qualification and become a Ride Leader? We're looking for enthusiastic people to get involved in the Sky Ride programme this summer, and other recreational cycling opportunities. You can train as a British Cycling Ride Leader and inspire cyclists to get more out of their riding, have fun and get a recognised qualification. Qualified leaders will receive a branded ride leader cycling jersey and rain jacket and other useful kit along with free membership of British Cycling and ongoing support.

Route Planners
We want to generate a comprehensive database of cycling routes in our Sky Ride cities to inspire new cyclists through the Sky Ride Local programme during the summer of 2010.
We have learnt that local knowledge and expertise is the key to generating high quality recreational cycling routes. Therefore, by joining us you will be able to play a crucial role in the delivery of the Sky Ride programme.
On the course you will meet the team, discuss potential routes, allocate routes between the team, sign contracts and obtain your Memory Map software. For each route you plan you will be paid between £35.00 and £65.00 to provide us with the following information:
• Mapped Route (using memory map)
• Route Card (using memory map)
• Risk assessment
• Route Factsheet
• Photos of the route
