One of the UK's biggest and most popular cyclosportives is the UCI sanctioned Cheshire Cat taking place Sunday 28th March 2010 - always on the first day of British summertime. Cycling Weekly's front cover hailed the event as "The UK's first super-sportive"
If really spectacular challenges in the most picturesque locations in Britain are your thing then the UCI sanctioned Cornwall Tor taking place on Sunday 16th May 2010 is definitely a ride for you. Usual Dragon Centre HQ but this time a little later in the year - plus some exciting route changes and options are on the cards for 2010 to make the challenge more accessible.
The UK's longest cyclosportive is Flatout in the Fens on Sunday 27th June 2010. Yes that's right, it is the UK's longest - and flattest too. Guaranteed no hills but have you got what it takes to tackle the longest challenge ride? As this year's riders found out, flat does not mean easy!
A tough late summer challenge in beautiful Shropshire and the Marches is Wild Edric on Sunday 5th September 2010. Still hilly but a revised route for 2010 - again, more accessible for 2010 - don't just take our word for it, Cycling Weekly said this is one of the toughest cyclosportives out there!
Wrapping up the summertime sportive season is Tour of the Peak on Saturday 30th October 2010. Another favourite challenge ride featuring the three iconic Peak District climbs.
Hold up, there's still one more 2009 event to go!
