RVO Racing’s Simon Maudsley sprinted to the victory at round two of Darley Moor in Derbyshire.

After numerous failed breaks the group came back together for Maudsley to be set up by teammate and captain Lee Allen to snatch victory at the death.

Speaking after the race Maudsley described the finish: “I knew going into the last corner on the last lap would be carnage so I pushed forward and was about 10 from the front. Two guys went early out of the corner.

“I held the wheel in front until I came out of the chicane then hammered it to the line passing the front five to take the win. It was a good team effort and I’ve got to say thanks to Lee for dragging me into the final corner in a good position.

"I’d been looking forward to the second race at Darley Moor all week, I wasn’t that happy with my performance in round one and I was after a win in round two.”

RVO manger Ian Littlewood added: “We are delighted with the early success from the team but we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us, so we still need to keep focused for the rest of the season."
