A previous winner on the popular Pimbo circuit, Graeme Rose (Dirtwheels Cycles) proved fastest in a sprint finish to the tenth round of the Cycling Development North West Road Race League on Merseyside.
With team-mate Mark Perry giving a numerical edge at the head of the race, 33-year-old Rose, from Leeds, relegated younger rivals Dillon Byrne (Vanillabikes.com) and Michael Rawson (Champion Systen/Maxgear) to the minor places after 90-km of racing.
The supporting race for third and fourth categories ended in a maiden win for 30-year-old Lee Carter (Ribble Valley CRC), from Preston.
