At Scottish Cycling, we know how many of you have taken up our wonderful sport over the past year of lockdowns and restrictions – and we want to give you the opportunity to continue your cycling development in fun and friendly environments. Our clubs and groups are beginning to return to activity, and they would love to give you the opportunity to join them on this journey as we enter the summer months.
Every club is full of passionate people, willing to impart their knowledge and experience to support you on your cycling journey. They know their local areas like no one else and will be able to introduce you to lots of new cycling routes, give tips on bike shops and probably the best cafes too! Many of our clubs are also home to qualified coaches that can help you take the next step in your development.
If this sounds like something you would like to get involved in, check out the listings of clubs welcoming new members below! Alternatively, if you think you would be better suited to a more relaxed environment, have a look at what our Breeze groups and Guided Rides have to offer!
Cycling Club, Breeze Group or Guided Rides?
Breeze and Guided Rides: Breeze and Guided Rides are fun, friendly and welcoming. You don’t need the latest gear, fanciest bike or coolest kit; ride the bike that you have and dress for the weather and your comfort and safety on the bike. There are rides for people just starting out in cycling, rides for families who want to cycle together, women-only rides and rides of different distances and pace. You can search for a ride near you via: www.letsride.com
Clubs: Cycling clubs in Scotland are providing regular sessions and events for all ages. Clubs are a great way to have a positive experience and be coached across any of the cycling disciplines. Disciplines include BMX, Cycle Speedway, Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Road, Time Trial and Track. Each club will have qualified coaches and riders with experience that can pass on knowledge to members who are beginners or those more experienced on two wheels.
