HSBC UK | National Track Championships

British Cycling has confirmed the full entry list for this weekend’s HSBC UK | National Track Championships, which will see a strong contingent of Scottish riders competing for national titles.
Katie Archibald, who won three titles at the 2018 championships, will ride the scratch, points, individual pursuit and sprint events. European team pursuit champion Neah Evans will also ride the individual pursuit, scratch and points races. World championship silver medallist Jack Carlin will be going for gold in the sprint, team sprint and keirin.
World cup gold medallists and 2017 national champions, HUUB Wattbike, with Scottish riders Jonathan Wale and John Archibald will aim to regain their team pursuit title. Archibald and Wale will also have their sights set on individual titles.
John Archibald, set an unofficial world record in Switzerland last month and will be favourite for the individual pursuit title, but will face competition from several other elite riders.
Wale will also contest the kilo and his fellow Team Scotland Commonwealth Games champion Mark Stewart will be among those competing for the scratch and points race titles.
Following an exceptional weekend at the Para-cycling International, world champion and Olympic gold medallists Neil Fachie will be targeting a national champions’ jersey.
Scottish Cycling will have a number of teams competing across the weekend:
Female Team Sprint – Senior
Female Team Sprint – Junior
Male Team Sprint – Junior
Male Team Pursuit – Senior/Junior Mixed
There are also programme riders who will be competing for their clubs/teams in individual events.
