Promoting club Moray Firth CC filled the first two places in their ‘unmeasured’ 25-mile Munlochy time trial, staged in the Highlands on Sunday.
Brian Widdison, 38 and from Inverness, covered three laps of a hilly eight-mile plus circuit in 1-00-56 to record a maiden victory by 32 seconds over Moray Firth CC’s Culloden-based 46-year-old Andy Cowie in calm and dry conditions.
Forres CC rider David Harter completed the podium with 1-02-46, while Penny Phillips (Moray Firth CC) was fastest woman and Fraser Macbeth won the handicap prize.
