What are the benefits of using TrainingPeaks?
Log workouts, plan your season, analyse your heart rate, power, pace - and much more data. You can get your daily workouts via e-mail, take your intervals with you on your mobile, and log your training to help achieve your goals.
How much does it cost?
Individual training plans start from £30 per plan. If you're a British Cycling member you can access a 20% discount via your dashboard. Or become a member from as little as £26 per year
British Cycling General Fitness Plans
General plan
These 8-week plans will help you build a strong and powerful base and increase your aerobic fitness by targeting specific physiological adaptations that include increased capillarisation, mitochondrial function, fat metabolism and cardiac efficiency.
Available from beginner to advanced and with varying levels of time commitment to suit you.
British Cycling 8 Weeks to Peak: Road Performance Plans
Road performance
Designed to build on your base fitness, these training plans will progressively increase your speed and power and drive peak performance for a road race, sportive or endurance event.
Available from beginner to advanced and with varying levels of time commitment to suit you.
British Cycling 8 Weeks to Peak: Time-Trial Performance Plans
Time-trial performance
Building on your base fitness to progressively increase speed and power, these training plans will drive peak performance for a time trial event.
Available from beginner to advanced and with varying levels of time commitment to suit you.
British Cycling 8 Weeks to Peak: Mountain Bike Performance Plans
MTB performance
Focusing on MTB events, these plans are designed to progressively increase your speed and power over eight weeks and drive peak performance.
Available from beginner to advanced and with varying levels of time commitment to suit you.
What training plan should I follow?
• Beginner plans are designed for those who have trained for less than 12-18 months prior to starting a plan
• Intermediate plans are for those who have trained for 12-24 months prior to starting a plan
• Advanced plans are for those who have trained for 18+ months prior to starting a plan
Training Time
• The beginner plans require 6-8 dedicated training hours a week
• The intermediate plans require 8-10 hours a week
• The advanced plans require 10-12 hours a week
How do I get started with TrainingPeaks?
You can access TrainingPeaks on iPhone, Android, or via the web, and choose between a free basic or paid premium account.
Once you're registered you will be able to view and purchase British Cycling Training Plans and redeem your 60-day member discount.
