Scottish Cycling Volunteers Week 2021

Volunteers Week is about saying thank you to all our volunteers, from those who have kept things going during the pandemic to those who volunteer regularly but may not see themselves as volunteers (we'relooking at you Sunday club ride leaders and the bakers of tasty treats for post-race refuelling!)

At Scottish Cycling we truly appreciate our volunteers. Without them cycling activity would not happen and we wouldn’t be able to welcome so many new people who have discovered cycling during the pandemic.

Throughout the week we will be celebrating different areas of volunteering, starting on 1 June with #SCTalks: “The impact of volunteering on cycling” with a brilliant panel of volunteers and volunteer Board member Nigel Holl hosting.

Friday 4 June will showcase our club volunteers with a special look at Covid Officers and what they have been doing to help activity keep running.

Saturday 5 June looks at our volunteer event organisers, with an interview with Debbie Irvine who runs club confined time trials for her local club.

Sunday 6 June celebrates the volunteering opportunity with the Young Persons Panel, we hear from current members and look to the future.

Monday 7 June round up of the week and a thank you from our new CEO Nick Rennie.

We want YOU to get involved! Sign up to #SCTalks, share your photos and thank you messages via social media (don’t forget to tag us @ScottishCycling!) with the hashtag #VolunteersWeekScot.
