We are very excited to present our new club programme structure. Some clubs may recognise the model for the Limitless programme, where Champion and Focus clubs have been very effective in activating clubs to become more inclusive.

We will now adopt the framework for all our existing and future club programmes. Starting with Go-Ride, our flagship offer for children and young people in clubs, we will then introduce Champion and Focus club pathway. The Champion and Focus clubs aim to create an expert network of clubs that support cycling in specific ways.

Club Affiliation

  • First point of engagement for clubs and British Cycling;
  • The entry point into the club network.
  • Club Social, Club Racing and Teams registered.
  • Minimum operating standards are confirmed at the point of affiliation.
  • All workforce declared and qualified.
  • Benefits of affiliation applied at this point.
  • Clubs declare the audience & programmes they wish to engage with.

Champion Clubs

  • Recognised as a Champion of the audiences & programme(s) declared at point of affiliation.
  • Access to digital tools and resources. Encouraged completion of a development plan using the British Cycling standardised template.
  • You will have access to programme benefits, including free memberships, bespoke communications, bursaries, CPD, and off-bike kit offers*.
  • Support for progress reporting.
  • Encouraged to consider the focus club programmes.

Focus Clubs

  • Successfully reviewed and approved development plans to give access to the Focus Club programme.
  • Access to small grants (inc. value-in-kind) to develop the priority areas from the development plan aligned to our priorities linked to the broader British Cycling strategy.
  • Access to a development support programme led by the Sport Development Team, including face-to-face visits, online support and progress reporting.
  • Support for data capture, including case studies.
  • The Focus Club support programme will be delivered over a 12-month period, with flexibility for ongoing lighter-touch support.

The outcome will be an expert network of clubs.

Please keep an eye out for communications on how your club can get involved in the coming months.
