Over the following months, we will release more information about the new Go-Ride framework, which will explain how it is modernising, what the priorities will be, how we will engage young riders, and what we will do to ensure young people can get the most out of cycling.

Go-Ride has been a staple of British Cycling for a long time, delivered with a lot of success and with different elements introduced over the years. As we commit to modernising the sport, we are pleased to be redefining the Go-Ride club model.

Our vision is to secure the future of cycle sport. We want to grow and retain the number of young people cycling in clubs, develop their offers, and support clubs on the delivery line. In the future, Go-Ride will aim to support clubs that deliver regular activities for children and young people.

At British Cycling, we recognise the importance of modernising our ways of working to suit the needs of our club network. Thanks to consultations with a range of affiliated clubs and expert volunteers who deliver fantastic support for children and young people, we feel well-informed about our direction. The Go-Ride programme will continue to support the development of children & young people, putting them front and centre. We are excited to start this journey and see the collective effort of British Cycling and the club network as being critical to the future success of Go-Ride.

Club News will share further updates about Go-Ride Clubs monthly. Please contact us with any initial queries on clubs@britishcycling.org.uk.
