Event: 21 March 2013
This event has been organised as part of a big fundraising event in aid of ‘Women vs Cancer’. In the positive light of where cycling is right now, this is an ideal time to encourage a range of people to get onto two wheels and take part in an event aimed at all levels and abilities.
This event caters for the ‘Bradley Wiggins’ rider down to the ‘leisure rider’. All participants will be helping to raise money through their entry fee for the ride, whilst still enjoying a great family day out.
The aim is to raise £3,000 for the charity whilst at the same time stepping up the profile of cycling and all the health benefits it can offer. With this being one of the first Sportives to be held in this area, the aim is put on a quality event for the riders and to raise awareness of the supporting charities, for example, Cycle Shepway who are a pressure group campaigning for a brighter future for cycling in the Shepwway.
This event is already gaining momentum and has already seen over 70 participants entering, which is fantastic, therefore make sure you enter sooner rather than later to avoid missing out!
