With the passing of Le Tour de France for 2013 the focus is really on Yorkshire to provide a hub of cycling glory.
Why not start by riding some of the best routes (in our opinion) that Yorkshire has to offer? We are offering three routes to make our event available to anyone with a bike and fancies a ride.
We have a 12 mile route that is for families and those riders wanting something shorter. Riding from Otley to Ilkley and return – this route has one major hill both ways but is also ideal for beginners.
We have a 38 mile route which takes in three loops of Yorkshire beauty heading towards Pateley Bridge and back, but before getting to the tops you have to climb the infamous Norwood Edge. This initial climb will get you going before embarking on a ride across the tops of Valleys.
The 70 miler takes in some fantastic climbs and offers riders a ‘rolling ride’ but don’t take the ‘rolls’ lightly. Starting off the ride with a 700ft climb, sets the expectation of our ‘rolls’.
This year we have the support from Chevin Cycles Ltd, NOAD suncream, Yorkshire Tea, BHP Mitchell Accountants, and Moon Room (featuring Alter-G technology).
Our event raises money for local causes and charities – this year Otley Bridge Church Scout Group and Leeds Mencap will benefit from our riders entry fees.
Once our riders have finished the ride you will be welcomed back with Tea, Coffee and Cake. We don’t think you can get better value for your £12.
