The Humber Bridge Charity Cycle Sportive will be the venue for the first cycle sportive to cross this iconic bridge in both directions.
We are delighted that the ride is now full and have been thrilled by the response to this event from riders up and down the country. We are already looking forward to the opportunity to welcome more people to this much underrated part of the world next year!
Interestingly, it is still the longest suspension bridge in the world to allow cyclists to cross it, and the Bridge Board have kindly agreed to allow us to use a dedicated footpath on the way out and on the return.
Both routes offer stunning scenery – Lincoln Cathedral in one direction, the Bridge and the magnificent Humber Estuary to the other, and take in some of the quietest roads in the area.
All of the proceeds from this ride will be given to two local charities that work tirelessly on behalf of under-privileged children in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire – Cash For Kids, and The Echoes Foundation.
