Another great day of action in Newport with many a future champion racing their way to British Chamionship medals including Gold medals for Hannah Barnes, George Atkins and Laura Trott.

Junior Men's Pursuit

George Atkins added another title to the road race one he won back in June. It was a fantastic final between Atkins and Kennaugh, old foes from the road race championship but Atkins came back from the dead in the closing laps to sprint round and nick the title from Kennaugh and end the run by Isle of Man riders in winning this event.

Under 16 Women's Scratch
Winning a fast paced Scratch race in a bunch kick was Hannah Barnes who won her ninth title with still more events to go this week. In a blanket finish across the track, Hannah outsprinted Harriet Owen and Lucy Garner for the medals. Special mention to 13 year old Emily Kay who was fourth and close to yet another medal after her Gold in the pursuit and bronze in the Sprint.

This reached the quarter final stage with John Paul looking like the overwhelming favourite to win after qualifying fastest by fourth tenths of a second.
