Location: Lyme Valley Velodrome, Newcastle
Event: 21 June 2012
Report: Chris Pyatt

Like every other Track League in the country this year the current spell of wet weather is having a big effect on the league.

After two weeks of total washout the forecast was bad again for the Brooks Cycles Track League event on Thursday 21st June. This was mid-summers’ day however with cloudy skies and temperatures around 15 degrees it was hard to believe it.

Despite this the Freewheelers League managed to complete their entire race programme.

However not long after this the heavens opened and the main league was called off again.

In the Freewheelers League saw a good turnout of 16 riders despite the weather with some really close races in each group.

The top point’s scorers in each group were as follows;

Group 1 James Brayford Lyme RC 8 points

Group 2 Holly Mulroy Congleton CC 11 points

Group 3 Olly Davis Lyme RC 7 points
