British Cycling can today announce further dates for the 2024 road and circuit calendars for youth, junior and under-23 riders.

Following a consultation with riders following the conclusion of the 2023 calendar, work is ongoing to finalise details of the female Junior and Under-23 National Road Series calendar. Further details on this, and confirmation of dates for our masters national championships, will be published in the new year.

Youth Circuit Series

The first round of the Youth National Circuit Series will take place across two days from 31 March - 1 April at the Ride Flux GP – a revamped edition of the Pembrey 2-Day. Riders will race an extended queen stage on the second day at the Pembrey Motor Racing Circuit. The Hog Hill GP on Sunday 14 April will make up the second round at Redbridge Cycling Centre.

The riders will then tackle the Isle of Man Youth and Junior Tour across the weekend of 4-5 May, before taking to the Loughborough Cycling Festival later on Monday 27 May.

The Kingdom Youth Circuit Stage Race in Scotland will see another challenge for riders over 15-16 June, before the sixth round on the Wyke circuit in Bradford on Sunday 23 June. A new edition to the series, riders can look forward to racing the new circuit after successfully hosting the 2023 Youth National Circuit Championships.

The seventh round will be the Scarborough Cycling Festival with Big Bear Bikes incorporating National Youth Circuit Series, before the final round at the 360cycling Youth North West Tour on 24-26 August.

The Youth National Circuit Championships will take place on Sunday 7 July at Cyclopark in Gravesend, where riders will be looking to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winners Henry Hobbs, Abigail Miller, Finlay Storrie and Melanie Rowe.

The open category of the Junior National Road Series kicks off with the 10th Anexo/CAMS Junior CiCLE Classic on Sunday 17 March, which saw Ben Marsh take a muddy victory last year. Riders will then head to the Cadence Road Race in Wales on Sunday 14 April, before travelling to the Tiverton Road Race on Sunday 28 April on a new course in the south west.

Riders will then tackle the Isle of Man Youth and Junior Tour over 4-5 May in the first tour of the series, with stages extended to provide fresh opportunities for riders.

The fifth round will see riders take to the 360cycling Junior Tour of North West across the weekend of 25-26 May and then the CAMS Yorkshire Classic on Sunday 16 June. The Bath RC Junior Road Race then takes place on Sunday 21 July for round seven.

Riders will round off the series with two more tours, with the Fenwicks Tour of the Mendips taking place between 9-11 August, and the iconic SD Sealants Junior Tour of Wales from 23-26 August.

Hosted by Welsh Cycling in their 50th anniversary year, Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire will host the open and women’s junior national time-trial and road race championships over the weekend of 29-30 June.

Under-23

The open category of the Under-23 National Road Series will kick off with the Stars of the South West on Sunday 7 April, returning to the calendar for a third year.

The PB Performance Espoirs Road Race will host the second round in the East Midlands on Sunday 21 April, before returning to the Yorkshire Under-23 Classic on Sunday 5 May for round three.

The 360cycling Under-23 North West Tour will see riders battle over two days on 25-26 May, before lining up for the JToW Under-23 GP in Brecon, Powys, for round five on Sunday 9 June. The series winner will be crowned in the final round, with details to be confirmed.
