About our club
Welcome to Merthyr Cycling Club!
Although our club administration is based in Merthyr Tydfil, we attract members from all over the valleys, of all ages and abilities.
Most of the club members are focused on Time Trials, with our club race night being on Wednesday evenings during the summer months (please see website for times, dates, and venue), however we also have members who participate in Road Racing, Audax, and Sportives.
Our training rides are generally held on Saturday and/or Sundays, with distance covered generally being between 50 and 70 miles over hilly terrain, meeting at Cefn Coed or Brecon Road in Merthyr Tydfil.
Actual riding time is approximately 4 hours, a mixture of A and quieter B roads. Climbing is between 1000 and 1500 mts per ride.
