About our club
BMX Racing Club based in the Llynfi Valley (just beyond Maesteg in the north of Bridgend County) with a National Standard BMX Race Track.
Welcoming club for all ages and levels of ability to access this fantastic sport and gain foundation skills and develop them to have fun at the track or compete in races if interested.
Informal open sessions and coaching/training sessions on the track, with start gate practice for all ages and abilities - you need to be able to ride a bike to use the track.
Equipment:
BMX Race bikes and full face helmets are available to loan, you can bring your own (no pegs on bikes and must be in good working order including working rear brake).
Bring gloves and full length bottoms and long sleeve top, wearing protective knee and elbow pads if required.
Sessions:
> April to September (in season) Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Sunday mornings*
> October to March (off season) Sunday morning*

Racing:
We enter the South West Region BMX Race Series in season, with ten rounds of race events taking place from our track in Bridgend to Bristol down to Cornwall. We host one Regional round, there is also the SW BMX Championships, British BMX Championships, and Welsh BMX Championships.
Races are age related in both male and female categories for novice, expert and elite riders of 20" and 24" (cruiser) BMX race bikes.
