About our club

The "BIKE DOCTOR" Cycling Club has been established for over 16 years and is based in Porth, the heart of the valleys and the gateway to the "Rhondda".
The main aim of the BIKE DOCTOR club is to bring like minded cyclists together for weekly rides, organised events, competitions, away trips and social get together s... all whilst enjoying the passion for riding your bike in a club orientated friendly atmosphere. There's always plenty happening in the BIKE DOCTOR club, from relaxed social rides with cafe stops, sportive & fun events through to structured training rides and full on competitive racing. With an active social side there's enough to keep you busy with organised nights out and our annual awards night is certainly one not to miss... and not forgetting our club run family day which is always an enjoyed by the members and local community alike!
Our club rides are every Thursday, Sat & Sunday come rain or shine with seasonal activities such as (Tuesdays), beginner / entry level road rides (Wednesdays) and winter track nights at Maindy Track (Fridays).
In addition to our affiliation with Welsh Cycling we are also fully affiliated with Cycling Time Trials, so If you have a competitive edge the race side to the BIKE DOCTOR will quench your thirst for all out action! Many of our members compete in MTB events (XC & Enduro) & Road events (Crit, Road Race & TT) throughout the calendar year. THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID, WE NO LONGER OFFER COACHING OR UNDER 18'S IN THE CLUB, THIS IS CONSTANTLY UNDER REVIEW. SORRY.
It's not just the adults who get to enjoy the fun at BIKE DOCTOR, we are also a registered Go Ride club with fully qualified coaches running Monday night sessions at Barry Sidings for children from the age of 5 to 11 years old.
No matter what your age or discipline, if cycling is your passion, why not come and Join the "BIKE DOCTOR" where a warm welcome awaits you one and all.
