About our club

Athlon CC is a Community Amateur Sports Club.We welcome cyclists of all disciplines and abilities though we are primarily a social road cycling club.

We base our Saturday morning training rides out of Waterloo lane Car Park (2)which is adjacent to the riverside Leisure centre Chelmsford and currently have 6 group rides riding at the below averages.

Ladies only ride
Green Ride 14-16mph
White Ride 17-18 mph
Blue Ride 18-20 mph (Tempo)
Red Ride 21 mph (Min)
Black Ride 22+mph

We also have a mid week ride in the summer ride from May through to September

In addition we are affiliated to the following recognised cycling bodies & have a high performance road race team that competes in the Eastern region as well as hosting our annual road race

Cycling Time Trials (CTT) .

Eastern Counties Cycling Association (ECCA).
