About our club

Cannon Hill C.C. began life in October 2014 through a group of friendly and social Sky- Riders who realised that there were so many riders looking to ride more often, with a like-minded group and to develop their love of the sport, whatever their cycling experience.
So, the Cannon Hill ‘In Extremis’ series of rides began to develop an ever increasing range of rides to suit all tastes and challenges – whether you want a 100 km + ride down through the Cotswolds and the climbs over Broadway or our signature route to Henley, a steady and rolling 55km.
We run several groups of different distances and speeds to suit the riders and conditions on the day. All of these are friendly rides and we regroup at all hills and turn points. The routes commence at The Garden Tea Rooms in Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston but to explore the West Midlands and to provide an opportunity to savour different terrains and experiences, different routes will utilise other start points.
We use an internet forum as a virtual clubhouse to organise ourselves as this allows all members to help shape our club. Our focus is road cycling, but there is also growing participation in Audax, cyclo-cross and Breeze rides.
