About our club
The Trailblazers are a group of award winning MTB enthusiasts with the common aim of making Hamsterley Forest a centre of excellence for mountain biking that attracts riders of all abilities.
Awards include; The Queens Award for Voluntary Service
MBR Volunteer built trail of the year 2019
Our main activities are:
Trailbuilding: renovating and maintaining existing cycle trails and developing new ones.
Development: realising the full potential of the forest as a quality MTB centre and seeking funding for further development of the trails and facilities.
Promotion: ensuring that Hamsterley attracts as many riders as possible to the forest and it's surroundings by delivering mountain bike coaching and organising led rides.
Youth coaching with weekly BMX sessions at the Hub in Barnard Castle and monthly MTB sessions at Hamsterley Forest.
