About our club

The West Drayton was formed in 1989 at the start of the mountain Bike race scene in the late 80's , since then the club have grown from a pure mountain bike club to a cycling club taking part and promoting events in all disciplines in fact we now think the title West Drayton Multiple Bike Club would be more suitable.
Tthe club has a wide range of abilities and ages and over the years the top riders have won Medals at Regional and National championships both on and off road, we have also had a rider winning a medal in the National 25 Mile championships as well as riders taking podium spots in the National Trophy Cyclo Cross Series .The age range of members is from 12 to 80.
Now days as we have all aged the club has become more about socal riding however riders do still comepte both on and off road as well as take part in on and off road sportives both in the UK and abroad.
The club is probably the most active club in the Central region as we not only promote our own events but the regular West Thames Tuesday night road race series is also run by our members and we have a presence at the local Hillingdon Circuit and have had riders finishing in under 4 hrs hours at Ride London, the club have a number of coached sessions both on and off road throughout the year as well as casual rides to suit all abilities and social events. On the organisational front the club promote the Bucks Road Sportive , the Bucks Off Road Sportive and the Bucks CX/Gravel sportive , a road Hill Climb as well as the Tuesday night series. In addition to this there are a number of trips planned, a racing trip to Europe, Mountain bike trips to Wales and Scotland, a gravel trip along the West Kernow Way and a road trip featuring some of the the iconic Tour De France climbs.We are currently looking to strengthen the club in terms of riders and racers and some sponsorship is available for those who have the ability and enthusiasm to race.
