About our club
Welcome to Blaydon Cycle Club
Established in 2013 in the Blaydon area of Gateshead with the simple aim of getting as many people out on their bikes as possible… and enjoying it!
Dictated mainly by the want of our current members, we are chiefly focused on road cycling while also covering mountain bike rides, especially during the winter months. Over time and as the memberships grow, we are catering more and more to a diverse range of cycling activities organised through our members forums and by the Club itself. (Club rides at weekends and individual ad-hoc members rides created in our members area)
We have a very relaxed approach to the Club’s operation allowing for great freedom and scope in Club activity, particularly when it comes to ability levels. Far from throwing everyone together and hoping you keep up, we have a number of groups with their own activities from Easy Wheelers, Development Rides through to the full Club Runs. So, whether you are completely new to cycling, someone who enjoys the leisure side of cycling, a commuter or an out right racer, we have a group to suit you.
