About our club

Each week our community gathers together for a number of ride outs, aimed at giving riders of all abilities a chance to get out on the roads with a like-minded group.

We have a very active Strava Club where interested riders can receive ride out notifications.

Members are encouraged to create routes, lead rides, and suggest club participation events. We generally ride as a unit and pace varies from endurance z2 to tempo z3/4. Ride outs are social, non-drop, usually include a cafe stop, and great fun rolling in a bunch.

A few house rules-

Please note riders are responsible for their own safety and RDCC cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or damage to equipment. Please familiarise yourself wherever possible to the posted ride, by downloading the file from our Strava page or if you aren’t sure, please ask one of our friendly ride captains.

RD CC respectfully request all riders understand and follow standard ride etiquette, being respectful to each other and acknowledging other riders we may come across on our ride. More than anything the standard rules are there to keep each other safe on the public roads.

Where we are starting from a Café such as G!RO in Esher, meet time is usually half an hour from roll out times, in order to grab a coffee and perhaps a small ride brief.

Please ensure you bring a pump, spares (multi tool, two inner tubes, tyre levers etc) sufficient food for the ride length and if you don’t know the route planned a Garmin and/or phone.

The wearing of a suitable cycling Helmet, full cycling apparel and clipped in shoes are an expectation of RDCC on all rides please.

Clip on TT bars, TT bikes and fixed wheel bikes are not allowed, to ensure that the flow of the group is consistent and for the overall safety of the group.
