1st Round

The 1st round saw no big upsets and no dramas, with all but one of the big hitters comfortably progressing. Hoy took a long run at his fellow Scot and cruised past making it look all too easy. Jody Cundy pushed Matt Crampton all the way in an SIS team face-off, with Crampton just taking it. Jason Kenny was in charge all the way despite the all out efforts of Matt Haynes. Despite a fair amount of ducking and diving, Steven Hill couldn't outgun Ross Edgar, while Dave Daniell left himself a huge gap to close and just pipped Lyte on the line. The only real surprise came in the final heat, where Pete Mitchell left it too late the close the gap on SIS's Chris Pritchard, who won by a slender 1cm!

1st Round Repechage

The repechage saw the lithe looking Joe Allen (Evans) take a flyer pretty much from the first lap and surprise everyone, staying away from Simm and McClelland to progress in the competition. Pete Mitchell, smarting from his loss in the 1st round, made it through his heat to take his place in the ¼ finals along his Sky+HD teammates. In the final heat, Christian Lyte took the final place in the quarter finals, digging deep to reel in a charging Jody Cundy.
